Spotlight On: Kōkua Hawaiʻi Foundation Farm Stand and Store

Discover how Kōkua Hawaiʻi Foundation’s ʻĀINA Farm Stand and Kōkua General Store in Haleʻiwa are fostering community, sustainability, and local agriculture.

Check out what Kōkua Hawaii Foundation (KHF) has going on in downtown Haleʻiwa: The ʻĀINA Farm Stand and Kōkua General Store are open. Each storefront represents a part of KHF’s mission to connect community to local land, waters, and food, and build a healthier Hawaiʻi.

Aiming for a plastic-free Hawaii is another KHF goal, so it opened the Kōkua General Store in 2022 to provide the community a “bulk refill, vintage, and low-waste lifestyle product store.” You bring your own containers for refills on essentials such as shampoo, conditioner, laundry detergent, dish soap, and more. The Kōkua General Store also hosts community events, such as clothing swaps and indigo dye baths, to encourage embrace of a more sustainable lifestyle. The store is currently open Tues. to Thurs., 11 AM to 5 PM; Friday and Saturday, 10 AM to 3 PM.

The ʻĀINA Farm Stand, which opened in November 2024, offers fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, seafood, and products from the Kōkua Learning Farm and other local farmers, as well as fresh coffee and café items. The ʻĀINA Farm Stand also carries seasonal flowers and lei to honor the historic building it occupies, the old Haleʻiwa Flower Shop. The farm stand is open weekdays, Weds. to Friday, 9 AM to 3 PM, and Saturday 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM.

You’ll find both the farm stand and general store in the heart of Haleʻiwa, at 66-249 Kamehameha Hwy., directly across from the Patagonia store. More opportunities to shop local, and support local agriculture and the Kōkua Hawaii Foundation https://kokuahawaiifoundation.org/.
