The KEY Project is hosting its annual kalo celebration on Saturday, March 22, 2025. They are inviting everyone to come participate in ʻohana kuʻi kalo, and enjoy plenty of local vendors, educational booths, performances, and a variety of keiki and ʻohana activities. There will be a huli giveaway, too, if you’re interested in growing some kalo yourself. The event runs 9 AM to 2 PM at the KEY Project community center in Kaneohe, 47-200 Waiheʻe Road.

KEY is the Kualoa-Heʻeia Ecumenical Youth Project https://www.keyproject.org/, a nonprofit founded in 1968 to connect community to resources and one another. KEY is currently running Youth, Kūpuna, and Living Library programs as well as hosting events such as the Kalo Fest for the whole ʻohana.
